Lucuma Gold Raw Chocolate

Ingredients: Lucuma 28%, Cacao Butter, Agave Nectar, Coconut butter, cinnamon, Himalayan Salt.

This delicious Conscious Chocolate bar is Raw, Vegan, Sugar Free, Gluten Free & Handmade. It comes in compostable and biodegradeable packaging.

This is a much lighter bar. We made it for people who are true lucuma lovers and for people who really crave a light or milk chocolate experience. Lucuma (whole dried fruit which has a lovely creamy, rich taste and texture) is used in place of cacao powder although cacao butter is still used. This is really great for children.

As with all the Conscious Chocolate range, this is a raw, handmade and hand wrapped chocholate bar that is free from pesticides, dairy, soya and gluten. It has a low GI and GL making it suitable for diabetics as it is naturally sweetened with agave nectar.

The Properties of the Ingredients of Raw Chocolate

Raw Cacao Powder and Butter

The raw Cacao beans are known as 'the food of the gods' and were used as money in the times of the Mayans and Aztec's. The cacao powder and butter are the beans pressed and powdered. Both are antioxidants; rich in magnesium and potassium. Without sugar or dairy products the benefits of chocolate reach you in their pure state. When chocolate is eaten raw, the enzymes remain intact and the amazing properties of chocolate are undiluted to be enjoyed to the full. Chocolate contains more than 300 nutritional compounds including; Iron, Zinc, sulphur (the beauty mineral), Tryptophan (the love chemical), Anandamide (the bliss chemical), Phenylethaylamine (PEA, the joy molecule), Polyphenols (heart -nurturing), MAO inhibitor (appetite suppressant), And is one of the richest sources of anti-oxidants. Dark chocolate is the new superfood. Chocolate will uplift you and beautify you for a healthy, guilt free experience. Chocolate is also and aphrodisiac and opens the heart.

Raw Coconut butter.

Coconut butter has no cholesterol, and is the uniquely miraculous and revitalising saturated fat that's actually good for you. Raw Agave Nectar.

Used as a sweetener for the chocolates. This is a dark syrup coming from cactus pods, which is mineral rich, it has a super low-glycaemic index making it suitable for diabetics. This is made from the world renowned Blue Agave plant  85% fructose.

Raw Wild Raw Carob.

Super high in antioxidants and a natural compliment to Cacao, bringing out and enhancing flavour and qualities.

"The idea for Conscious Chocolate came from a diet of raw, living food that detoxes and cleanses. On a pure diet the body gets really sensitive to healing, healthy food, making you feel better and brighter than ever. Tasting raw cacao in this framework was an amazing experience. This is really how the chocolate sensation evolved. Friends were bringing cacao beans back from Mexico and David Wolf's company "Natures First Law" in San Diego. The effects of raw chocolate were immediately obvious and tasted wonderful. So being food lovers, and experimenters, new ways of eating raw cacao were put in to immediate effect.

Hours were spent making truffles, dehydrated biscuits, cookies and cakes and developing a sauce to pour over or dip them into. Selling these raw delights at the Big Green Gathering in 2005, we discovered that people really loved the raw chocolate sauce and would keep coming back to dip the truffles again and again!
